"Becky really listens and helps with your specific wants and needs."
I look forward to her Friday morning class each week because I know, as one of her pupils, she will be there to listen to me, and to help me. And she's fun too! Want to feel good? Just do it........you won't be sorry.

"Because of Becky and the Alexander Technique I am now, at 76 years old, learning the many unconscious ways my body has been habitually programmed"
In the gentlest, yet clearest manner possible, Becky has led my Zoom class through many experiments, bringing awareness where before there was little to none.

"She is a most caring, nurturing practitioner, and truly treats the whole person with great empathy and generosity."
In our very first session, Becky was able to find points of comfort, and furthermore, taught me to find those points of comfort myself so that I could begin to work my way back to health, normal range of movement, and much greater enjoyment of my young family.

"What most impressed me was how she was actively listening to each person and giving positive, affirming acknowledgement and suggestions - all delivered with a spirit of joy."
I attended Becky's classes at the Hudson library. She gives very clear verbal instruction with gentle touch and by modeling with her own body how to be more conscious of how you move and how it could be freer and more efficient.

"Becky is incredible! I had never tried Alexander Technique before meeting her. I was so happy and impressed. "
She is a fabulous teacher. I have had lower back pain and neck pain for abut 5 years on and off. Becky took the time to really understand my lifestyle, and the root of the pain. She walked through different ways to hold my body so as to alleviate the pain. She is very attentive and kind. I leave the sessions feeling not only relaxed, but also pain free. I felt that I was standing taller and with more ease. I 100% recommend going to Becky!

"Becky has been instrumental in helping me improve my posture. Despite a lifetime of practicing yoga, ballet, and pilates, I struggled with terrible posture when working at the computer, driving, or pretty much anywhere, evidenced by photographs from events."
As a result, I experienced regular neck and shoulder pain. Becky helped me identify and change several habits that have made me feel more balanced and free of tension. Her approach is patient, warm, and thoughtful. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking to improve their posture. My mother, who is usually quick to remind me if I'm slouching, even commented on how good my posture was during my last visit home.

"We work on balance, tension, breathing and muscle relaxation. I have much less pain than ever and I have learned to control much of it which is a big accomplishment."
I am a student of Becky Sandler both in her group sessions at the Hudson Area Library and her private practice. Though I really enjoy her group classes, I find her private sessions so inspiring. I leave every session with a little more knowledge to put to use in my everyday life. If 25 percent of her teaching stays with me I am way ahead of the game.I have attended all of Becky’s group sessions at the library and never get tired of it. In private sessions Becky’s knowledge is a very positive experience and her calming voice is a perk in itself.

What was especially helpful to me was the sangfroid, the consciousness, she taught us as necessary to avoid falls.
I will always be grateful to Becky for so necessary an awareness of precisely such sangfroid/consciousness, and for giving me and the class the necessary technical tools to know how to "carry" our bodies safely.
